You can Fly to Cork or Dublin hire a car and drive down, from Cork we are around one and a half hours and from Dublin around three and a half.
The roads are good from Dublin to Cork - tolls may apply in Dublin -; coming further South West, and into rural areas, the roads can sometimes be described as "quite Irish".
